Q. What are escape rooms?
A. An escape room is a real-life escape game experience which requires 2-6 players to work together as a team to find hidden clues and solve puzzles, both mental and physical, to escape a themed room within 60 minutes.  You need to think fast, think hard and think smart to beat the clock.

Q. How much does it cost?
A. That really depends on how many of you there are!  We have a sliding scale, so the more people in your group, the cheaper it is.  Prices for standard, scheduled sessions, Thursday to Sunday, booked online are as follows:
2 people - $40 per person
3 to 4 people - $35 per person
5 to 7 people - $30 per person
Multiple room bookings which result in changes to standard scheduled booking times may incur a surcharge.

Q. When can I schedule an escape game?
A. Games can be booked online a minimum of three hours in advance or you can take your chances and just drop in.   We suggest that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your booking time to ensure you get the full hour in your room.  Unfortunately, as the room will be booked after you, the game will cease at the scheduled time to ensure it can be reset for the next booking.

Q. What if I need to change my reservation? What is your cancellation policy? 
A. You can change or cancel your reservations up to 24 hours before your reservation (up to one week for corporate bookings) directly from the link button that says "View Booking" in your confirmation email.  If you have not received a confirmation email, you may have entered your email incorrectly so email us with the details and we’ll sort it out.  No cancellations or changes within 24 hours.

Q. What happens if I/we arrive late?
A. We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled time. This is essential to everyone's experience, especially if you have not reserved the entire room to yourselves! The countdown starts at the scheduled booking time and you may not be permitted into the room if you are late.  There are no refunds or rescheduling at all within 24 hours of your booking. 

Q. How long will it take?
A. About an hour and 15 minutes. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your start time. This is essential. When you arrive you will receive a quick briefing on the game from your Game Master. Then the fun begins! You will be placed in the room and will have 60 minutes to get out. This will leave some time afterwards for fun photos with our cool props… or you could get the lame props if you don't escape the room on your own in the allocated time.

Q. Can we stay in a room longer than 60 minutes?
A. No. Once your 60 minutes have expired, you must leave the room. There will be another group following immediately after you, so we need time to reset the room for the new group.

Q. Do I need any special prior puzzle solving experience?
A. Not at all. Just be willing to search for hidden clues and related items…and to use your brain! If you are really stuck, you might want to reach out to your Game Master and use one of your three free clues to get you moving in the right direction. 

Q. Do I need to wear anything special?
A. Clean, tidy clothing is required but there are no limits to your imagination.  However, high heels and mini-skirts are less than ideal. If you wear reading glasses, it might be advisable to bring them. 

Q. Can children participate?
A. Absolutely! Kids love the game, but we do have some restrictions outlined below. They will not be able to do it all on their own but they’re generally pretty good at finding things and making leaps of logic. 

Anyone aged 14 to 17 can participate alone with a
waiver signed by a parent or guardian (just print when booking, have it signed and bring it along). This age group is perfectly suited for our games.

We recommend that children aged 10 - 13 have one participating paying adult per 4 children.  Escape rooms are not really suitable for groups of children under the age of 10. 

Q. Can I take pictures inside the room?
A. Photographs and video recording are not allowed in the rooms. We put a lot of time and effort into the design and construction of our rooms, so we don’t want to spoil anything for players who haven’t experienced it yet.  Secure storage will be provided for your belongings whilst you play the game.

Q. Do you have any Tips/Advice for doing your Escape Rooms?
A. We sure do! 
  • Not everything is a clue. There might be some Red Herrings. 
  • Separate and search! There is plenty to find.
  • There is no excessive force or physical exertion required, so be gentle with things. No more than a finger's pressure is needed.
  • Communication is key to completing the room in the allocated time... if you find something, let others know.
  • Keep the clues out in case you need to revisit them.
  • Double check each other’s answers and searches if you are stuck!
  • If you're really, really stuck, ask for a clue!

Q. Are there room rules?
A. Of course there are!
  • Use your common sense.
  • We reserve the right to refuse anyone we believe is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or anyone who is rude or abusive to staff members.
  • There is no need to climb on anything… there are no clues above normal reach.
  • There are no clues in any lamps, electrical outlets, plugs or cords.
  • There is no such thing as a stupid question! Remember…this is a game -  have FUN!
